Birmingham Bears host youth training camp with Play 60

Updated: Apr 15, 2021

What: The Birmingham Bears and Play 60 are hosting a youth training camp for boys ages 5 to 12 that will encourage kids to get outside and stay active with the opportunity of meeting some of their favorite Bears players.

When: Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST.

Where: Birmingham Bears Stadium

123 Football Way

Birmingham, AL 35005

Who: Jake Franklin, head coach of the Birmingham Bears

Drew Brees, starting quarterback for the Birmingham Bears

Sean Payton, starting wide receiver for the Birmingham Bears

Parker McWhorter, host of Play 60 and former Chicago Koalas head coach

Why: The Birmingham Bears believe that a key factor in a healthy life is exercise and overall wellness. This is even more important when it comes to our youths. The Bears want to partner with Play 60, an organization dedicated to getting children to play outside for at least 60 minutes a day, in order to encourage these healthy habits at a young age and in a fun way.

Media Information: Media credentials need to be requested. If you are interested please email Mattison Allen, mattisonallen@bears.com. Media will be allowed to park in the stadium deck next to Bears stadium and will be welcomed 45 minutes prior to the start of the event.
